It's been awhile

I know it's been awhile since I've posted, almost a month! I'll tell you the reason, Facebook! It's taking over my life, I'm addicted. For those who don't know Facebook, try it, you'll get hooked. http://www.facebook.com/ Look me up.

Not really much else happening right now. Working mostly and because facebook is taking over I haven't really scrapped much of late either. I'm trying to cut back but it's hard!

Last weekend Jack and I went with my parents to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It was an awesome show!!! Three straight hours of music, amazing! Some of the highlights included Tim & Faith singing Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, their kids got up on stage at the end of Last Dollar to sing a bit, and the final song was I Need You, which they sang sitting down, sharing one mic, face to face. So intimate and romantic. The only disappointing part was the big black pole that was in front of us that blocked the screen. You can see it in some of the photos below. Just our luck to get seats behind it. It was still definately worth the $100 per ticket and I would got again in a heartbeat.

So my long weekend is here finally and I'm off in a few hours for a weekend away of scrapbooking and fun with the girls. I'm so excited!
I'm also excited as the big news that I found out about last week turned out great for me as I'm now officially Arts and Crafts Manager at work. I'm really looking forward to this challenge and I think only more good things are to come from it.
So I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back on Sunday.

I know it's been awhile since I posted but seriously there's just not much to say. I'm getting excited about the Retreat I'm going to next weekend and I've been busy trying to prepare for that. As well as work and wedding thoughts too. However I got some good news and will be able to share very soon, I hope. No I'm not pregnant because I know that is what everyone is thinking.

I'm so glad it's the weekend, it's been a busy and stressful week.

I'm going to enjoy 3 days off and beautiful weather. Maybe a little scrapbooking, a little shopping and then a nice dinner on Sunday with my parents for Mother's Day.

A little behind...

I'm a little behind in updating my blog again, the time goes by so fast.

Last week was my birthday and Jack & I spent the after at Alayna's 5th birthday party.

Lots of fun that was on a nice sunny day. After the party we went to dinner at Swiss Chalet and then I scrapbooked a little later on. The next day we went for dinner with my parents and my brother to the Keg...mmm that was

yummy.

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day but I didn't do any scrapping. My mom, Jack and I headed to Abby to meet Suzann to deliver Marshall's birthday cake. After that the 3 of us headed to WalMart did a little shopping and that went to Fort Langley for lunch and more shopping. Didn't really buy much but it's so fun to look in all the little gift shops over there.

Then last night around 1am or so I woke up sick as dog...it was nasty.

Feeling better today but still taking it easy as I'm back to work tomorrow until Friday when I start my 3 day weekend, woohoo

My mom and I started talking wedding plans a little yesterday too and I'm thinking 2008, maybe September. So that's exciting.

Weekend wrap up

Not much to post this Sunday night as I worked all weekend.
Jack and I have been thinking about moving to a bigger place one with more rooms. We're actually going to look at a HOUSE! this week. It might be a little more than we can afford but it sounds so "roomy" It's 3 bedrooms with a good size backyard. It's still close to work, family etc... We won't be moving until the summer which is when this place will be available. So we'll see how that goes.
Jack surprised me tonight with an early birthday present: a new set of pots. Which I asked for and totally love. If you saw my old ones you'd know how great new ones are, lol
Other than that not much new to report oh except my Flames lost :( Hopefully the Canucks will do better.
Plans this week include getting a haircut, going out for dinner with some girls from work and celebrating my birthday.

Michael's Revamped

For those who haven't been to Michael's in awhile I encourage to stop in and check out the scrapbooking department. You won't recognize it. We have totally remodelled the entire section with tons of new products. It's a huge improvement and well overdue. Next week Martha Stewart products will be popping up too.

For those locally that usually frequent the POCO store I recommend taking a look at my store as I've heard we have a lot more products than their store. Besides they don't need the sales like we do, lol Hope to see you soon!

Friday the 13th!!!

Well today is the first day in about a week that I can actually swallow without any pain.
I've had this awful cold all week but it was strictly in my throat and ears, with a bit of a cough.
I'm now down to 1 sore ear and a touch of a sore throat. It was not fun and so glad it's going away. Well I hope it is anyway. I'm going to keep taking the antibiotics and when they're finished it better be long gone.

Just want to add Congrats to Jenn on the birth of her son. Yay Jenn!! I'm looking forward to meeting your new little guy. I'm sure he's super adorable.

One last thing for all those reading this today, be careful out there today is Friday the 13th. Stay safe!!!!

I survived my first week as Dept. Manager. It was a little nerve racking but I did it!

Last night I closed all by myself and thank god nothing major happened it all went smoothly.

Now I'm dealing with a sore throat and praying it doesn't develop into more.

I have 2 days off to rest and get rid of this thing.

I treated myself to a present last night. I got the Making Memories paper trimmer and I love it!!! I'm so excited, I'm glad I waited and was able to use a coupon on it!!!

Wedding cake

On Thursday I finished Course 3 of the cake decorating classes at Michael's.
The course consists of 4 lessons, 1 per week. In the second class we did a square cake learning how to use fondant. In the fourth class we made a tiered wedding cake. I had trouble with the flowers and opted for a less traditional wedding cake. Despite all the stress of getting these cakes done I'm glad I took the course. Next month I'm taking the Fondant and Gum paste class, should be lots of fun!!!

Latest happenings

Not too much happening with home life, just the same old thing.

I wish I was getting more scrapbooking done and I've got a million other projects on the go too. There just aren't enough hours in the day. What takes up most of my hours? Well work of course and now for the month of April I'll be adding another 30 mins to my work day. I've been temporarily promoted to Dept Manager as our current one will be working in another store during April. It's exciting as it means more responsibilities and a pay increase, I just wish it was permanent. We'll see what happens as there's a possibility he won't come back but knowing my luck he will, lol The good side is it's a learning experience and another good thing to add on my resume.

So that's all the exciting happenings for now. I can't believe April is just days away, the time is sure flying by. Spring is definately in the air as I've seen the flowers starting to pop up in gardens as I'm riding my bike to work. Now if only the rain would stay away, although it looks promising for next week.

A Week Already?

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted.
Where does the time go? Not a whole lot happened just work, work, work
I haven't really done any scrapping which sucks and all it's done is rain so haven't been outside much. All the good shows were repeats this week, except for Survivor and Amazing Race.
Next week will be busy though with some birthdays and parties.
I'll try to update again soon.

Weekend Update

I'm having a pretty quite weekend as I had the last of wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. So needless to say I'm not in the mood for doing much and I'm still in a fair amount of pain. Eating soft foods and drinking lots of water. Hopefully I heal quickly.

This evening I'm just going to veg on the couch and watch the Oscars which I've been looking forward to all year.

The Oscars

The Oscars are this Sunday and it's something I look forward to every year.

I can't believe how fast they have snuck up on me this year. I try to see at least one of the movies nominated for Best Picture and a couple others that get nominations.

I have seen Babel with Brad Pitt and although it's an interesting story.
I can't say it was the best, although the buzz is it will win. I hope to watch Dream Girls and The Departed before Sunday. What movies have you seen and who do you think will win?

Weekend Update

What a weekend, it sure flew by.

I worked all weekend so that is never fun but I survived. On Saturday while I was at work Jack took Sebastion to the vet for his annual shots and a nail clipping. The vet also said that since his last check up in January he's gained a little too much weight. So now he's on weight control/indoor cat food. So that's fine then that night he gets sick, which was a result of the shots and the change in food. After that he slept a lot and didn't do much but he seems to be back to his regular self today. Thank goodness.

I feel so exhausted tonight, I sure hope I'm not getting the flu.

Week Update

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day, Jack got me 3 bunches of beautiful tulips and a box of chocolates. We went for dinner at Pizza Hut and maybe to the Old Spaghetti Factory this Sat.
Off to 7707 at Remember Me with the girls tonight and looking forward to the new Grey's Anatomy when I get home. Wonder what's going to happen with Dr. Grey?

I made a cake for Cyndi's grand-daughter Madison. She requested Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars. I sure hope they enjoyed it and that it tasted good. I think this was my hardest one yet. I had a few little issues but I still had lots of fun making it. Happy Birthday Madison.

Goodbye Ray

Jack and I lost our hamster Ray today. Jack found him when he went to check his food and water. Poor little guy just passed in his sleep. We had him for a little over 2 years which is about normal for hamsters. It was still sad to see him like that and to say goodbye.
Hopefully he's in "Pet Heaven" resting peacefully. Goodbye Ray, we'll miss you.

His name is Sebastion and he's 2 years old. After a week of living with us, he's fit right in and loves it here. He definately rules the place and I call him The King.

New Year's was pretty uneventful at our place. I had a headache all day and Jack was in bed by 10pm before having a nap on the couch earlier. Oh well, there's always the next one, lol.

It's Over Already!

I can't believe Christmas is gone again for another year. So much work and stress for one day and it's gone in a flash. It was definately worth it and we had a great day. Boy was Santa good this year. I got my QuicKutz and it's pink, yay!!!! I also got the binder and tote to go with it.
I got my mixer that I wanted along with jammies, slippers, perfume, cake decorating stuff, a big bag of pink goodies from my mom and 5 Tom Cruise DVDs from my brother. I already had 3 of them so I'm going to exchange them for ones I don't have. I got lots of other little goodies too.
We were all spoiled and then had a delicious turkey that mom and I cooked together. Yummy!!!
It's now time for New Year's and I get 4 days off. I'm so glad for that as it felt like I had no time off at Christmas.

Christmas Rush

Christmas Rush!!!

OMG it's only 6 days until the big day and I feel like I have so much left to do. I've never panic but I'm starting to now. We hardly have any presents to buy but I'm still not done. Jack and I spent the entire weekend shopping til we dropped but obviously that wasn't enough. The tree is up and so are most of the decorations so I feel good about that. I just wish there was more time to do these things, if only I didn't have to work.
Anyone else feeling the pressure???

Graduation!!!

Last night was my graduation of Course 2 Cake Decorating.

FINALLY!!!!

I finally saw Mission Impossible 3 and I loved it! It wasn't as good as the first one but it was still action packed. I love my Tommy, can't wait for his next movie whenever that will be. I know he's a little busy right now but sheesh hurry up already.

Looking forward to a little Christmas party at Mary's this weekend. Hanging out with the girls and having a great time. Nothing like spending time with your friends at the holidays. I'm so excited!!! Also excited about the fact that I have the entire weekend off!!!! So excited, need to get some things done around the house to get ready for the holidays. I feel so far behind.

This is my early pick for HDH. He was in Mission Impossible: II with Tommy and currently stars opposite another hottie Wentworth Miller in Prison Break. The only 2 reasons I watch Prison Break these days, lol

The People I Love

I've decided that my blog is always about me and the things I'm obsessed with.
So I've also decided that I need to give more praise and affection to the people in my life.
Today I choose Jack.

There's just so many things that I love about him aside from his good looks!
He's so loving and has a great sense of humor! Does an awesome Donald Duck voice!!!
I know that he loves me and does everything he can to make me happy. He always helps out around the house with the chores and hardly complains about it. I think I do more of the complaining. He's almost always willing to listen even if he's not interested, which is probably 90% of the time, lol He's amazing with kids, I love to watch him interact with them. He also has big passion for animals, I think he'd one of almost everything if he could.
He's great to cuddle with and gives amazing hugs.
I don't know what I would do with out him and I'm so lucky and thankful to have him in my life. I look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
I love you Jack!

Negativity

I'm quite disgusted with all this negativity, backstabbing and pettiness going on around me.
There's obviously 2 different sides to this mess and I feel like I'm right in the middle of it.
So I don't want to see, read or talk about this anymore. What's done is done and we all need to move on. I've said my peace and now I'm done.

I can't believe it's already Nov 15. Just over a month until Christmas and I haven't started any shopping yet!!! I always say I'm going to start early and it never happens.
Hopefully we can get out there this weekend and get started.
I do plan on making a few gifts this year, just not sure what they are yet.
And then there's Christmas cards, I've only got one made of like about 40.
I need to get my butt moving!!!

What a rainy weekend!!

Nothing but rain, rain, rain. Right now as I am typing this it is pouring like you wouldn't believe and it's so loud. Unbelievable!!!
With all this rain there wasn't much to do today so Jack and I went to the movies and saw Santa Clause 3. We watch these movies every year so of course when I heard the new one was playing I just couldn't wait. Of course it wasn't as good as the original but I enjoyed it and it put me in the holiday spirit. Now I've just got to get out there and do some shopping.
I did buy the gingerbread tree at Michael's yesterday, can't wait to decorate it and the rest of our house. That's my favourite part all the lights and decorations.
Now that Sunday is over, it's back to work tomorrow for 3 days and then I have 2 days off. I can't wait!!!

Another awesome day of raising money for breast cancer and what fun we had. Near the end of the day our wonderful hostess had aprox $2400 just from one day! How cool is that? Kate and Rae if you're reading this, notice the bold face typed words, lol.

I didn't have Turkey this year, just made a ham with scalloped potatoes.
It was a great evening spent with Jack and my family who I am most thankful for.

Well the long weekend is over and Jack and I had a great Monday spent at the PNE. So much to see and do and boy does it sure eat your money in a hurry. I think we did pretty good, it could have been a lot worse. We saw the beautiful prize home, too bad we didn't win it. We watched the news being broadcast and had our picture taken with the broadcasters. We played a few games, watched the dog show and the parade and ate lots of great food. Of course the best part about the fair is the little donuts. We had 2 bags each, mmm mmm good!!!!
I can't wait for next year, I miss it already.

Also the much anticipated Vanity Fair cover with baby Suri Cruise has been revealed and I just have to say I think she is adorable and looks a lot like her dad. I can't wait to get a copy!

The Long Weekend

I'm so glad it's finally here, my nice 4 day weekend!!! Lots to do but nothing to do at the same time. It's going to be hard to go back to work after four days off.
Sunday is my god-daughter's birthday party so that will be lots of fun and then Jack and I plan to head to the PNE Monday. Saturday will be errand and shopping day and tomorrow is a nothing day for me as Jack will be working.
Hope everyone has a great labour day weekend before life gets back to normal with school etc...I can't believe summer is almost over, time sure flies.

Yes that is me, a bad blogger. I have been neglecting my blog but it's not because I haven't had the time or forgot. I just haven't felt like it. Sounds kind of horrible but it's true and there's not much to say really.
This weekend Jack and I hope to do some summer cleaning and take a bunch of things to the Sally Ann or VV Boutique. I'm so sick of the clutter.

Today is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday Mom!!!! I think we're going out for lunch before work and then I'm having a family dinner at my house Sunday night.

A Weekend of Nothing

I can't believe how fast the days go when not working.
We did absolutely nothing this weekend and it just flew by.
We had plans to go to Seattle on Sunday but just weren't feeling up to the drive when the time arrived. I woke up with a stiff neck Saturday and it's just starting to feel better now. So our weekend just consisted of some shopping, eating and a lot of video games. LOL Not very exciting and now it's time to go back to work.
Oh well such is life I guess.

Well my choice this week is for a bad boy that not everyone loves. I however have been a fan since the 80's back in the day of glam rock etc...I was a huge Motley Crue fan (still am) and Tommy was the man and all his tattoos of course. Now that he's back with a new band and on the seach for a lead singer on RockStar how can I not pick him? Looking forward to a new album from T.Lee and the gang come September! I just wanted to update everyone with what's happening. We did go to Point Roberts but I woke up Monday morning sick as dog and I'm still that way today. This is my second day in a row I've called in sick but hope to be back tomorrow. I went to the doctor and I'm taking antibiotics, so hopefully they'll kick in soon. I just have no energy to do a thing, including updating my blog. Once I'm feeling better I'll had some pictures from the weekend and might even get a HDH in there as well. The other bad news is my aunt succumbed to lung cancer on Saturday so I've been pretty upset by that as well. Due to work and my cold I won't be attending the service but she's in thoughts. Have a great week everyone.

It's Hot!!!!

Summer has definately arrived, Pitt Meadows hit 32 today and apparantly even higher tomorrow. I worked all weekend so I didn't get to enjoy the sun much. It is supposed to stick around all week, which I'm looking forward to. Even though it's hot, I love this weather because I'm always cold so it's nice to finally warm up. A pretty uneventful weekend which is usually the case when I work, Jack did lots of housework for me so that's good. Thanks honey.
Had fun at SW's last night playing with all the scrapping goodies and of course the yummy pizza she ordered. It was good to see her and Mary as well.

I missed my movie review the other day so I think I will do one now.
This week I'm going with a fun family movie. If you haven't seen Madagascar, I recommend you do. It's cute and funny, I especially love Melman. He cracks me up with his OCD!
Also want to mention a few movies that I'd like to see but haven't yet. Mission Impossible 3, Cars, Click and The Lake House. If you've seen any of these movies, tell me what you think.

Well it's been awhile but I just haven't had the time to get on here much. It's been an exciting couple of days with the Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup! I knew they could do it! I watched the entire third period on the edge of my seat. I knew that if anyone could tie up the game it would be the Oilers but I'm so glad they didn't, lol. I also have to add that the Oilers had a great season and the winner could have just as easily been them so congrats to them as well.
Now as for my HDH for this week, I've picked him once before but I figure it's my blog so why can't be HDH again. He deserves it after all. Congrats Bret Hedican!!

It's been one of those weeks and I feel like being sad and sappy.
First of all I want to thank my dear friends at POTP who I hang out with IRL for being the great friends that you are. I had such a blast just hanging out and laughing with all of you tonight. We need to do it more often for longer, we always have so much fun. So that was Part 1 of sad and sappy. Part 2 is movie review for this week plus song of the day. Let's start with the movie which is: Sweet November. Talk about a tear jerker. If you haven't seen this one it's a definite must see and you will need plenty of Kleenex and chocolate! I love, love, love this movie. I think the song of the day speaks/sings for it self. If Jack and I ever have a wedding I want this song played at it, everytime I hear it I instantly think of him.

Now for Part 3 which is just sad. A little less than a year ago my aunt passed away from cancer. It started with Breast cancer which led to many more forms that spread throughout. She was an amazing person with a great sense of humor and a big heart. She lived in Port Alberni and due to cost etc.. I just never got over to see her before she left us. I miss her a lot and wish I had been able to spend more time with her. Now it's happening all over again, my dad's youngest sister has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is rapidly going downhill. The cancer has progressed so much that there isn't much the doctors can do for her at this point. What's really hard for me is that she lives in Alberta. There is no way I will get out to see her at this point and feel completely helpless about it all. It's just devastating what this disease has done to our family in such a short time and I feel extreme sadness and guilt. Why didn't I do more to be with her more often etc..etc...I'm constantly thinking about her and wish it was just all a bad dream. I know life is unfair but this is beyond comprehension. I hope that everyone reading this will say a prayer not only for my aunt but for all those out there battling this evil we call cancer.

Weekend Happenings

Well lets start with Friday. I was up at 7:30am to finish my cake for the Breast Cancer Crop on Saturday. I finished it around noon just in time to get ready for work and I got home at 10:30 then I had to pack for the crop. I went to bed around midnight and then up at about 8:00 to get ready for the crop. It was a blast as always and I actually got a couple layouts finished which is not always the case with me. Got home around 9 and then to bed by 10 as I had to work the next day. Now here it is Monday and no days off for me until Friday. Carolina won again tonight though so now they're only 1 win away from the Stanley Cup.
Go Canes Go!!!

Movie Of The Week

So I decided it was movie time again and I'm going way back for this one. Although I don't remember this movie when it originally came out in 1980, I did see it years later and it is a good one. It definately deserved the Oscar awards and nominations it received. If you have not seen Ordinary People I highly recommend it.

CSI Withdrawls

I finally got around to watching the CSI:Miami season finale yesterday and thought it was pretty good but now I can't wait for the fall when they head to Brazill. So now I've realized that I'm having CSI withdrawls. It's my favourite show and although there will be Big Brother, Canadian Idol and Rock Star all summer, I don't know how I will last without my CSI. I think I'm going to have to watch the re-runs. So this topic leads me to my Hump Day Hotties, yes that's right I've got 2 hotties this week. The first one is Jonathan Togo who plays Ryan Wolf on CSI:Miami and the second is George Eads who plays Nick Stocks on CSI, they are both so adorable.

It's unbelievable where the time goes. I guess because I worked all weekend that it makes the time go so fast. I couldnt' believe it was Thursday the last time I posted anything on here. I still don't have much to say these days. Just the same old thing happening here. Work, work, work. I'm looking forward to the weekend to hopefully get some scrapbooking done. I enjoyed my little movie review last week so I thought I would do it again this week. I found the movie Grease in my collection the other day and thought about how much I love this movie and the soundtrack. It's such a fun and light-hearted movie yet at the same time has some important issues. I was so happy when I found a video to go along with the photos I found to share. Don't you just love this movie? A great way to start the weekend!!!

Oh Carolina

It's the NHL playoffs for those that don't know and since my Flames are out, I'm cheering for second best. The Carolina Hurricanes and more specifically Bret Hedican. Which of course brings me to my HDH for this week. The photos I have below aren't the best I've seen of him but it was all I could find right now. For those who don't know Bret, he's a defenceman for the Carolina Hurricanes and way back when played for the Canucks. He's currently married to Kristi Yamaguchi and they have 2 young daughters. I miss him playing for the Canucks but I wish him well in Carolina and hopefully they get the Cup this year! GO CANES GO!!! For those of you cheering for Edmonton I also added a HDH bonus.

Wild Asapargus

For those who know me in my "scrapbooking life" know that I'm not much of a fan of the Wild Asparagus line. There's just always been something about it that didn't appeal to me. Well tonight while at my lss I discovered one of their lines (Darling) that I absolutely love. I caved and actually bought some of the paper. It of couse involves the colour pink so how I could resist. Now don't get me wrong, I won't be making a habit of this, unless of course they keep coming up with stuff like this. Yummy!!! Sandra couldn't believe it when I bought, lol

Now moving on, has anyone ever seen the movie When a Man Loves a Woman with Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia? Great movie, very powerful for those who haven't seen it I definately recommend it. It's an older movie from 1994 but I still love it. Anyway I thought of it today when I heard the song Everybody Hurts by REM which is my song of the day. It's played in a very sad part of the movie and it always makes me cry. Everytime I hear the song I think of the movie and everytime I think of the movie I remember the song. Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me? Perhaps I'm weird that way. Anyway see the movie, hear the song and have the Kleenex handy.

Wednesday already

I can't believe how fast the days are flying by, it's HDH again already. This week I'm going a little younger with my pick but hey why not he chose a little older. I'm talking about Ashton Kutcher, I was always a fan of his when he was on That 70's Show. I think he's hilarious and cute to boot. Our First BBQ

This past weekend Jack and I bought our first BBQ together. I love this time of year and the smell of the BBQ and how good the food tastes. We were excited to try it out on Mother's Day and we had the most delicious steak. Of course it's Jack's new favourite toy and we had to use it again last night to cook up some bratwurst. MMM good. I love BBQ season.
I also made my first cake this weekend, it's not actually my first ever cake but it was my first of that kind. I used a ladybug shape pan and the skills I learned in the Wilton Cake Decorating class at Michael's to decorate it. I think it turned out pretty good for my first one and it was a hit with all that ate it, including my co-workers who got the leftovers. I guess my next one will have to be for Father's Day, lol. A Day Off

It's so nice to have a day off since going to back work after my days off with the flu. It will give me time to finish off my Mother's Day projects and other things on my plate. It's back to work tomorrow for 5 days straight so I plan to enjoy this day as much as possible.

I'm so excited about my new pink tool bag that I got at Home Sense today. Thanks to Sandra and Colleen for the idea orginally and to Karen C. for the info. about the pink ones. I was so excited I couldn't wait to fill it up and have Jack take pictures of me with it. It's so handy to have all the everyday scrapping tools in one spot. I love it!!!! Can you tell I'm excited??

Today's the day for the release of Tom's new movie. Woohoo!! I hope it does well. We're not rushing off this weekend to see it, we're going to wait until next weekend. Hopefully it will be less crowded then. Once I do go see it I will fill everyone in on how good it was.

The time sure has gone by fast this week. I can't believe we're at Wednesday again already. I'm still pretty weak and drained from this blasted cold of mine so I won't be posting much today.
My pick for this week is Matthew Fox from the TV show Lost. Love that wet suit, lol.

Sick!!

Well I think everything has caught up to me from last weekend. I woke up early yesterday morning sick as dog. I have the most horrible cold that has knocked me right out. I left work early yesterday and didn't go in at all today. So that's why I'm behind in my blog and everything else. I'm going to rest up today and hopefully be back on here tomorrow with my HDH and an update from my birthday!

Happy Birthday to Me

I wasn't going to post about my birthday until after the fact but then I thought why not. It's my day and I can do whatever I want, lol. I don't hide my age (I'm 33 for those who don't know) or pretend I'm not getting older but I also don't expect much just a day for me surrounded by family is good. Presents of course, are always welcome and aren't turned away, hehe.
I don't really have big plans for my birthday. Jack is working today and then we're going for dinner with my parents and then it's back to work for me all weekend. It turned out to be a gorgeous day here so I went for a nice walk and treated myself to a Starbucks Frap. Now I plan to have a little lunch and another tasty beverage that you can see in the photo. Mmmmm mmm good. Jack surprised me with 3 beautiful bunches of tulips, my favourite. I've been enjoying them all day too. My wonderful Sandra left me an awesome message on my answering machine that brought tears to my eyes. Love you SW!!! I got a beautiful card from my other wonderful friend Rae and it was pink!! How did you know it was my favourtie colour? LOL Thanks everyone else for the wonderful wishes and so far I'm having a great 33rd birthday.

I can't believe it's that time again, wow has the week gone fast. My hottie for this week is a soap hunk from One Life to Live (David Fumero). Not sure how many of you out there watch it but maybe you will now, lol.

Well I've just experienced the most amazing weekend of my life. What a thrill to meet all those wonderful flower girls from pick of the patch. We had a blast and I'll never forget it as long as I live. There's just so much to talk about I don't even know where to start. We had so many laughs and adventures throughout the weekend. The part that amazed me the most was how fast it was over, I definately could have stayed longer. Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work to make it such an enjoyable weekend. I can't wait until we do it all over again.

I've got so much I should be doing but instead here I am blogging away.
I won't have time tomorrow as I'm out the door at 8am and I'll be busy all night when I get home. So this will probably be my last post before the big weekend. I'm going to leave you with someone a little different this week and someone most of you probably don't know. Mark Tremonti, the guitarist for the band Alter Bridge and before that Creed. My song of the day is by Alter Bridge too, check them out you just might like it. If anyone's looking for ideas for birthday presents (wink wink, nudge nudge) Alter Bridge is a good choice.
